Still Hungry

Before I started this post, I visited the old ones and realized that my last one was almost two years ago. To say that so many things have happened is an understatement. I should go into details, after all, that's how blogs survive, in the details. But I don't want spend two days just writing this. So here are the broad strokes.

Agahan finally opened for business in November 2011. But due to financial troubles, I closed it in June 2012. It was like a 7-month crash course on business management at the cost of over P3 Million.

I immediately started working for a friend at his agency but ended up leaving after eight months.

Two months after, I officially became the owner of a creative services company. And that's what I'm still up to now.

Back when I started this blog, I chose the name Hungry Woman because that's how I feel. There is a hunger in me. Back then, I made the decision to just cover my professional pursuits, since that's what I was referring to.

Now almost two years afterwards, I realized that I'm still hungry. But now, it's a hunger for all kinds of things. On the shallow end, food. On the deeper end, accomplishment.

Just yesterday, after experiencing a really good beverage, called a Chilled Heartbreaker, it just occured to me that if I had a blog, I'd write about it. Alas! I've abandoned blog writing a while.

Because I had a realization that I'm a journal writer, not a blogger. I mull over things, before I set words to paper (or in this case, type them up). Because I do not own a sense of immediacy that seems to be inherent to bloggers, what with all that photo-taking and instant posting. Because I hesitate about sharing certain parts of my life.

But I also need an outlet. And so I decided to renew my blogging activities. I realized this can only benefit me. Because I have identified its purpose for me. Anything else will only be a pleasant bonus.

This is the Hungry Woman signing off. See you soon. I hope.
